Wimbledon Storytelling Workshop
Enroute back to Canada we stop off in London, England for a storytelling workshop in Wimbledon. Many thanks and to all those who came and much gratitude to the enthusiastic and talented organizers who put on such a beautiful event. What amazing people and energy. Thank-you so much!
A special thanks to Grzegorz Lesiak and Krzysztof Miszczuk of Sister Mariusa's lineage in Poland for sending us some of their photos after we thought that we had lost all our digital images. Thankfully our digital images were found in a very mysterious way by suddenly reappearing in the computer. Thank-you for your help!

Reiki story - by Norma Kirwan
A number of years ago, my little black and white "Felix" cat found himself at death's door. he had developed a blocked urethra, a condition that is not uncommon in male cats but which, im my family, we then knew nothing about. it is a condition that can worsen alarmingly quickly, almost overnight, it seemed in our case, and is extremely painful. We rushed him to emergency, where we were told he was within hours of death and though he remained for over a week at the vet's surgery on a cocktail of medicines, they held out little hope for him over those first few days.
Each day, my daughter and I went to spend an hour with him at the surgery, during which time, I gave him Reiki. The nurses were not aware of this. As far as they were concerned, we came to held and be with our pet. He was very poorly, his head restrained in a collar and he was not eating. However, they began to notice some quite dramatic changes in him after our visits. On the third day, the vet took the unusual step of phoning us on our return home, to say:
"I don't know what happened during your visit, but he is a changed cat. He has perked up, taken his medicine and he is even eating right now. I can't believe that he is the same cat."
This was the turning point for Charlie. He made a full recovery and has never had a recurrence of this problem or indeed any other health probelm in the six years since then.
What I love about this story is that there was no knowledge on the part of the veterinary staff of the Reiki treatment that Charlie was receiving, no weight of expectation, simply their accurate and interested observations of changes in his condition as they arose and a wish to understand how that sudden change for the better had come about.
